This is all you need to make your own Daily Shower Spray |
32 oz bottle of Tilex is $3.39 at Super G |
Thyme oil, a known antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral agent, along with Peppermint oil, a known antibacterial and antiviral agent, work together to produce a powerful cleaner that smells minty and fresh.
As you're getting your supplies together, keep in mind that this recipe is for 1 gallon of shower spray. You can, of course, keep it in the container of your choice, or you can do like I did and repurpose a one gallon glass jug that apple juice came in. Generally speaking I prefer storing in glass whenever possible.
That said, do yourself a favor, and purchase one bottle of Tilex so you can get the spray bottle it comes in. This bottle has a channel in the front (see photo, below) that allows you to spray down to the last drop. You can refill it as many times as you want with your own cleaner after that.

Homemade Daily Shower Cleaner

1 cup rubbing alcohol
1/2 cup (generic) Jet Dry
6 tablespoons Dawn Dish Detergent (do not substitute)
20 drops Thyme oil
25 drops Peppermint oil
Water
Directions
Add rubbing alcohol, Jet Dry, Dawn Dish Detergent, Thyme oil, and Peppermint Oil to a measuring cup and mix well - taking care not to stir vigorously and cause the dish soap to bubble.
Transfer carefully to a 1-gallon container being sure not to make a lot of bubbles when you pour it.
Add enough water to bring the total volume up to a gallon. Use daily for best results.
